Your Question:

Dear Experts,

Hi, my boyfriend and I really want to have sex together in the shower. I am not on the pill, so if a condom gets wet, will it still be effective?

ThePepper

The Answer:

Dear ThePepper,

As long as they are used correctly and consistently, condoms are still effective in reducing the risk of pregnancy and many sexually transmitted infections when used in the water.

Keep in mind that pregnancy is possible if semen or pre-cum gets into a woman's vagina during sex play — in the water or on dry land.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
