Your Question:

Dear Experts,

I have a girlfriend I've been datin for a while and I think I love her, but I've begun to like another girl alot. What do I do??

ChevyKing

The Answer:

Dear ChevyKing,

It's perfectly natural to be attracted to someone other than your girlfriend, but only you can decide whether it's worth it to act on those feelings. If you pursue someone new, you run the risk of losing your girlfriend, so it's important to think carefully about what you want to do.

The decision to be exclusive with someone ultimately comes down to emotions — how strong your feelings are for someone, and how strong their feelings are for you. It's a good thing when both partners express themselves and share their feelings. Clear communication can be tough — sometimes it seems easier not to talk — but you can work on it. And remember — expressing yourself is only one-half of good communication; the other half is listening!

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
