Your Question:
Dear Experts,
IS IT SAFE TO USE A FEMALE CONDOM AND A MALE CONDOM AT THE SAME TIME???
NYNEWNEW19, 07.19.07
The Answer:
Dear NYNEWNEW19,
No. It is not a good idea to use a male and female condom at the same time. Using two condoms at the same time causes increased friction between the surfaces, making it more likely for them to rip and/or tear. They could also snag each other. The condom could pull the female condom out. The female condom might pull the condom off. One condom at a time is recommended.
When used correctly and consistently (every time you have sex), condoms are up to 98 percent effective against pregnancy. Condoms also reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections.
Hope this information helps!
