Your Question:

Dear Experts,

im 14 and i havnt started my period but i was wondering if i could still have a orgasim. and if i could would it be ok?

tatortot939393

The Answer:

Dear tatortot939393,

Yes, it may be possible for you to have an orgasm if you haven't started your period. And it's perfectly okay! People of all ages have orgasms. An orgasm is the release of built-up muscle tension resulting from sexual activity — including masturbation. (People of all ages masturbate.) It produces rapid muscle contractions usually in the genital and anal area, but these contractions can also be throughout the body. Most people find these muscular contractions very pleasant. Not all women have orgasm. About one out of ten have never had one. And some women find it easier to have orgasm as they get older. So, if you find it hard to reach orgasm, don't worry about it. Most women do not have orgasms every time they try.

It's also totally normal to be 14 and not have your period yet. Getting a period is one of the changes that happen to girls during puberty. During puberty, girls will also notice their breasts getting bigger and hips getting wider, and they will start to grow hair under their arms, on their vulvas, and around their nipples. In general, girls get their first period about two years after their breasts start to grow.

Puberty happens at different ages for different people. Some girls start puberty as young as eight years old, and some don't start it until they're 14 or older. We're all different, and that's normal.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
