It's not a good idea to get a tattoo while you're pregnant or breastfeeding. There is a small risk of contracting HIV or hepatitis B when getting tattooed, and these infections could be passed along to a fetus. In addition, weight fluctuations during and after pregnancy could permanently affect the shape and size of your tattoo, depending on where on your body you get it.
