The Answer:
Dear hope62,
Stretch marks are totally normal and aren't a medical concern. Stretch marks happen when the body grows quickly and the skin can't keep up with the growth it stretches out and leaves marks that are white, pink, or red and raised. Stretch marks commonly happen during puberty, pregnancy, and other times of rapid growth or weight gain. Many girls get stretch marks on their hips, and both guys and girls get them on other areas of the body. Over time, stretch marks fade and are less noticeable.
Hope this information helps!
