Your Question:

Dear Experts,

Is it rlly bad to have sex on the beach? What if the sand gets in your privates, can that cause infection?

jerseygirl

The Answer:

Dear jerseygirl,

While sand can't cause an infection on its own, you might find it uncomfortable to have sex on a beach. Besides the risk of being discovered, sand that gets into the vagina or anus can irritate your skin and can even tear a condom, which puts you at risk for sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
