Your Question:
Dear Experts,
Is it normal for me to be bleeding spots a few times in the month when im not on my period?
Angel2007, 01.26.07
The Answer:
Dear Angel2007,
Yes, it's normal. Spotting is a little bit of bleeding that happens at a time other than during a menstrual period. A woman who experiences this will often notice a couple drops of blood in her underwear when she was not expecting her period.
Hormonal forms of birth control, like the pill and the shot, may cause spotting in some women. Missing pills can also cause spotting or light bleeding even if you make them up.
Hope this information helps!
