Your Question:

Dear Experts,

im an extremely athletic 17 year old, swimming is what im in now. i heard masturbating will effect you in you sports? some thing to do with taking your energy out of ur legs?

clipso

The Answer:

Dear clipso,

Masturbation does not have a negative affect on how you perform in sports. Masturbation is not physically harmful in any way. In fact, it has a number of physical and mental health benefits, such as relieving stress and physical tension. Many people masturbate to relax, and it can help some people fall asleep. And orgasms — whether they're from masturbation or sex play with a partner — can act as a natural painkiller.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
