Your Question:

Dear Experts,

um i was wondering if anal sex is bad for u
wut dieses can u catch

gerb25

The Answer:

Dear gerb25,

Anal sex involves insertion of the penis or a sex toy into the anus. "Rimming" is slang for anilingus - oral stimulation of the anus. In general, anal sex is not "bad for you." But like vaginal sex, it can put both partners at risk for various sexually transmitted infections (STIs). In addition to the STIs also associated with unprotected vaginal sex - herpes, HPV, gonorrhea, syphilis, and HIV/AIDS - anal sex also puts partners at special risk of intestinal parasites and hepatitis B. Parasites and hepatitis B are transmitted in fecal matter - commonly referred to as Santorum. That is why people who enjoy anal sex should be as clean as possible - before and after having sex.

Proper use of latex barriers - condoms for anal intercourse and Glyde® dams for rimming - can also reduce the risk of contracting an infection. It's important to use a water-based lubricant with latex condoms - it makes anal sex feel better and makes condoms less likely to break.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
