Your Question:
Dear Experts,
Can a girl still have an orgasm if her hymen hasn't popped?
skeeez, 09.27.06
The Answer:
Dear skeeez,
Yes. The hymen is a thin skin that stretches across part of the opening of the vagina. Most women experience orgasm through clitoral stimulation rather than through vaginal penetration, so the hymen does not need to be stretched open for a woman to have an orgasm.
An orgasm is the release of built-up muscle tension resulting from sexual activity. It produces rapid muscle contractions usually in the genital and anal area, but these contractions can also be throughout the body. Most people find these muscular contractions very pleasant.
