Your Question:
Dear Experts,
Is there anywhere you can get EC other than a Planned parenthood clinic? Like a pharmacy?

The Answer:
Dear mandy067,
Emergency contraception (EC) is available at pharmacies without a prescription in a few states, but in most states, a prescription is required.
In addition to Planned Parenthood health centers, EC is available from many health care providers (including gynecologists and family doctors) and women's health clinics. It can be a good idea to get a prescription for EC and keep it on hand in case of unprotected sex or birth control failure.
EC can reduce the risk of pregnancy if started within 120 hours of unprotected vaginal intercourse. The sooner they're taken, the better. If started within 72 hours of unprotected sex, they can reduce the risk of pregnancy by 75 to 89 percent.
Hope this information helps!
