Yes, this is normal. Not all women experience side effects from taking emergency contraception (EC).
If started within 72 hours of unprotected sex, EC can reduce the risk of pregnancy by 75 to 89 percent. If a woman takes EC and does not get her period within three weeks — or if she experiences symptoms of pregnancy — she should schedule a follow-up visit with her clinician to take a pregnancy test.
