The Answer:
Dear Haley_Daily,
Yes, it is normal to have vaginal discharge every day. Vaginal discharge is also known as leukorrhea. Normal discharges are either thick and whitish or slippery and clear. Discharge is the vagina's way of cleaning itself, and it's totally normal.
If a woman notices that her discharge is foamy, that the odor changes or becomes unpleasant, or that she has itching or burning, she may have vaginitis. Vaginitis is any irritation in the vagina, and it can cause abnormal discharge. Vaginitis should be treated by a health care provider. It isn't often a major health problem, but sometimes it can be serious.
