Your Question:

Dear Experts,

if you are a teen can u get free birth control at planned parenthood?

gwensgurrl

The Answer:

Dear gwensgurrl,

It depends on the individual health center. All Planned Parenthood centers are committed to providing services at the lowest possible cost and to ensuring that financial concerns are not a barrier to necessary health care.

Each health center establishes its own fee structure, based on the many different factors that affect costs in specific communities. Many Planned Parenthood health centers offer services on a sliding scale, especially for teens with little or no income.

For more information on costs in your area, call 1-800-230-PLAN. You will be connected to the Planned Parenthood health center nearest you.

You may also want to contact other clinics in your area and find out what their costs are for teens. Many clinics will have reduced rates for teens and some may offer free services.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
