Your Question:
Dear Experts,
what is c-section?
mandycandy, 07.07.05
The Answer:
Dear mandycandy,
"C-section" refers to cesarean section. It is a major surgical operation in which a surgeon makes an incision into a woman's abdomen and uterus to remove a fetus from her body when it can't be delivered vaginally.
Cesarean sections are often safer than vaginal birth in a number of high-risk conditions, such as when a woman is carrying twins or triplets, or the fetus is too large to pass through the woman's pelvis.
Hope this information helps!
