Your Question:
Dear Experts,
Can you get a girl pregnant if she is already pregnant?
UUOUU, 02.18.05
The Answer:
Dear UUOUU,
No. Here's how it works: Ovulation the release of an egg usually occurs about 14 days before a woman's period begins. Pregnancy begins if the egg is fertilized by sperm and then completely implants itself in the lining of the uterus. Once a pregnancy begins, a woman's body begins to release hormones to support the pregnancy. The same hormones also prevent ovulation and menstruation. Since a woman does not ovulate while she is pregnant, it is not possible for an additional pregnancy to occur.
Hope this information helps!
