Your Question:

Dear Experts,

sometimes during the day i get wet does this mean i'm aroused by my guy friends?

cojolatve

The Answer:

Dear cojolatve,

Not necessarily. Women may "get wet" for several different reasons.

Getting wet is the way a woman's body responds to sexual excitement and desire. When women are sexually excited, it's common for their heart rate and blood pressure to hike up, their nipples to get hard, and their breasts to enlarge. Blood flow increases to the genitals so that the clitoris swells and the vagina lubricates itself, which is called "getting wet."

But women also experience wetness from normal vaginal discharge, which may have nothing to do with sexual arousal. Remember, it's totally normal for healthy girls and women to have a vaginal discharge that may show up on their underwear, whether or not they are sexually excited. Normal discharges are either thick and whitish or slippery and clear, depending on where you are in your menstrual cycle.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
