Your Question:

Dear Experts,

Are Family Planned Parenthood Clinics open 24/7? Do I have to have an appointment or can I just walk-in?

babigurl03

The Answer:

Dear babigurl03,

No. Unfortunately, Planned Parenthood clinics are not open 24 hours. Every clinic is different — some clinics may have walk-in hours, while other clinics require that you make an appointment first. Some Planned Parenthood clinics do have special hours reserved for teen clients. It's best to call beforehand so you know what to expect. For the Planned Parenthood health center nearest you, call 1-800-230-PLAN.

If you need emergency contraception immediately, and your local Planned Parenthood health center is closed, you can go to the nearest hospital emergency room.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
