Dear j_jean_18,
Many things can affect our sex drives including stress, how comfortable we are with our partners, how attracted we are to our partners, if we feel safe, past sexual experiences, and many other factors in our lives.
Birth control pills may also be a factor. One possible side effect of the birth control pill is a change in mood, which can affect a woman's sex drive.
If someone is really concerned about her or his lack of sexual arousal, it might be a good idea to talk to a health care provider, who may be able to help pinpoint the factors that could affect sex drive. She or he may also suggest trying another brand of birth control pill, or a different type of birth control altogether.
