In most states, sex toys — such as vibrators or dildos — are only available for purchase in "adult stores," which are restricted to adults 18 or older. (Some stores are 21 or older.) In most adult stores, teens may enter and purchase sex toys only if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Also, people should be aware that in some states, such as Texas and Alabama, buying or selling sex toys is actually illegal.
