Your Question:

Dear Experts,

my boyfriend want to ejaculate on my vagina lips but i wanna know can i get pregnet that way. he says the sperm dies as soon as it hits the air. is that true?

Coleco22

The Answer:

Dear Coleco22,

No, sperm does not die when it hits the air — it can survive outside the body for as long as the ejaculate is still wet. And pregnancy is possible if a guy ejaculates on a girl's labia (lips of the vulva) because it can swim through the moisture on her vulva into the vagina. Pregnancy can occur any time ejaculate gets in the vagina, or on or near the vulva. (Infections can also be transmitted this way.)

Teens who have sex play that can result in pregnancy need to make decisions about birth control. To find out your birth control options, check out Birth Control Choices for Teens.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
