Your Question:
Dear Experts,
I heard that swallowing semen can prevent some kinds of cancer, is this true?
bamgurl04, 08.10.04
The Answer:
Dear bamgurl04,
No! This rumor has been going around recently, ever since someone created a "joke" Web site a few months ago that made this claim. There is absolutely no truth to this swallowing semen (also known as ejaculate) does not prevent any kind of cancer, or any other disease or infection. Having semen in the mouth, whether it's swallowed or not, can actually pass on certain sexually transmitted infections, such as gonorrhea, HPV, or syphilis. For safer oral sex, use a condom to cover the penis.
Hope this information helps!
