Your Question:
Dear Experts,
if my girlfriend gets wet, does this mean she had an orgasm?
zanone, 07.29.04
The Answer:
Dear zanone,
Not necessarily. Getting wet is the way a woman's body responds to sexual excitement and desire. When a woman is sexually excited, blood flow increases to the genitals so that the vulva and clitoris swell and the vagina lubricates itself, which is called "getting wet."
Sometimes arousal ends in orgasm the pleasurable release of built-up muscle tension that results from arousal and sexual activity and other times it doesn't. The only way to know for sure if a girl has had an orgasm is to ask her. Some girls think it's important to say they've had an orgasm, even if they haven't. Careful partners will try to make girls comfortable enough to be honest about having orgasms.
Another cause of "wetness" is female ejaculation. About 10 percent of women spurt a clear fluid from the urethra during intense sexual excitement or during orgasm.
Hope this information helps!
