Your Question:
Dear Experts,
I can only have an orgasm from oral sex or masturbating but not from having sex. Is that normal?
18life, 05.07.04
The Answer:
Dear 18life,
Yes, this is pretty common. One out of every three women has some difficulty reaching orgasm. Most women experience orgasm through clitoral stimulation like during masturbation or through oral sex rather than through vaginal penetration. Therefore, if a woman is having difficulty reaching orgasm, she may want to try clitoral stimulation during, before, or after vaginal intercourse.
It may be helpful to show your partner what works for you. Remember, communication is the key to enjoyable sex! Partners are not mind readers. People need helpful hints and clues about how to please each other best.
Hope this information helps!
Take care,
