What you're describing is completely normal. When a person gets aroused or excited, heart rate and blood pressure increase. Blood flow increases to the genitals, so that the penis or the clitoris becomes erect. Blood flow also increases in the tiny blood vessels under the skin. This can make this skin feel hot and look red. It's called a sex flush. Rest assured that this is normal — it's the body's natural response to sexual stimulation!
