Your Question:

Dear Experts,

if you are a girl and you carry a condom and your boyfriend doesn't carry any does that mean you are expecting sex, a slut or that you are fast?

Sexydave16

The Answer:

Dear Sexydave16,

No way! Carrying a condom doesn't mean anything other than that you plan on being prepared to protect yourself from unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections if you do have sex. Using a female or latex condom correctly and consistently helps reduce the risk of pregnancy and infection. Don't be fooled into thinking that condoms are about having a lot of sex. Carrying condoms shows that you are a caring, responsible, and mature partner.

The word "slut" suggests that there's something "dirty" about being sexually active, and that's not true at all! People's sexual activities and choices are their own business, and everyone has different values about sex. What's right for one person may not be right for another. And while it's totally fine if someone chooses not to be sexually active, deciding to have sex does NOT make someone a slut.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
