Your Question:

Dear Experts,

I'm 16 years old, and this is pretty embarrassing. I was masturbating, and now I have this weird feeling that I am pregnant, 'cause i have one of the pregnancy sign. Can I be pregnant?

roni931

The Answer:

Dear roni931,

No, it is not possible to get pregnant from masturbating, because there are no sperm involved. Pregnancy can happen when ejaculate (which contains sperm) or pre-ejaculate (which may contain sperm) gets in the vagina or on the vulva. In order for a pregnancy to occur, sperm needs to get inside a woman's body to join with an egg. They join to form a fertilized egg, which attaches itself to the wall of the woman's uterus.

It is perfectly healthy to masturbate. In fact, masturbating can actually help reduce stress and makes many people feel good.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
