Your Question:

Dear Experts,

ok i french kissed a friend but she was a girl. i only did it to help her learn, i don't have girlfriend type feelings for her. But i am wondering have lots of girls learned that way?

sugasuga

The Answer:

Dear sugasuga,

Yes, it's common for young people to have experimental sex play with people of the same gender — regardless of whether they are gay, lesbian, bisexual or straight. It's also common for them to have lots of different kinds of sexual feelings and experiences.

Many straight and bisexual people are attracted to people of their own gender and there is nothing unusual about their feelings. Some people may act on their feelings and be sexual with partners and some may not — but it doesn't necessarily mean a person is bisexual or straight, gay or lesbian.

It may be helpful to find out how other teens think and feel about these things related to sexual orientation. Internet sources include outproud.org and youthresource.com.

Hope this information helps!

Take care,
